Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a CAMS Designer II to create 2D/3D CAD models for customer-specific units. You will use Creo Parametric and Trane software, review designs for accuracy, and collaborate with engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in Mechanical Design or related field, knowledge of CAD principles, and ability to read schematics. On-site, field-based work with occasional travel supports larger projects and training.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in mechanical design or related field required.
• Fundamental CAD drafting and 3D modeling knowledge essential.
• Experience with Creo Parametric and other CAD tools preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Attention to detail and eagerness to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D and 3D designs for manufacturing customer-specific units.
• Use Creo Parametric and Trane software to support parametric CAD modeling.
• Review designs for accuracy against requirements and standards.
• Produce design documentation and manage CAD records.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers on projects.
• Apply design rules and Boolean logic to configure products.
• Support larger design projects and meet deadlines.
• Learn and apply new tools and processes as needed.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites or training events.
