Job summary

Trane Technologies in Lexington, KY is seeking a Designer III to join a high-performing CAD team for Commercial HVAC air handler products. You will draft customizations, manage documentation, and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to deliver sustainable designs.

This role requires an AA in Drafting or related field with 3+ years of experience, and proficiency in SolidWorks or Creo Parametric. Onsite work with some cross-functional coordination is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Drafting, Design Technology or related field with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience using SolidWorks, Creo Parametric, Creo Schematics, Inventor, or ProEngineer.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with effective communication.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Create parts, assemblies, and layouts in Creo Parametric.
• Produce designs and documentation using CAD and PLM systems.
• Support areas such as change control, BOM, and product definition.
• Translate verbal or written instructions into HVAC drawings.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations teams.
• Adhere to company safety and security policies.
