Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital is hiring a Paramedic to join the Emergency Department on nights. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician to provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care, ensuring patient safety and effective communication with families.

Requirements include Georgia Paramedic certification, BLS, and ALS/ACLS with PALS; experienced ED Paramedics have up to 6 months to obtain PALS. A full-time shift profile supports ongoing patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Paramedic certification current in Georgia required; National Registry preferred.
• BLS certification required; ALS/ACLS and PALS certifications expected.
• Paramedics new to ED may need to obtain PALS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care under RN/Physician supervision.
• Maintain a safe environment, educate patients and families, and document information.
• Advocate for patients, participate in teaching and performance improvement, supervise unlicensed staff.
