Qualifications

• Strong systems programming with Rust or C/C++.
• Experience with distributed compute engines and parallelism.
• Knowledge of SQL front end components and query planning.
• Familiarity with vectorized processing and columnar formats.
• Experience writing benchmarks and tests (golden tests, fuzz testing).
• Exposure to modern benchmarking tools and test automation.

Responsibilities

• Build components across engine spine: SQL front end, plan layer, optimizer, and operators.
• Develop storage substrate with in‑memory and on‑disk formats and data structures.
• Implement transactions, recovery, and concurrency controls.
• Add parallelism and distribution with correct execution and data correctness.
• Write design specs, tests, and ensure correctness before performance goals.
