Qualifications

• Rust or C/C++ with memory-safety discipline.
• Relational foundations and cost-based optimization understanding.
• Experience with engine spine components or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Build core components of a next-generation parallel compute engine from the ground up.
• Develop storage substrate using Arrow format; implement on-disk formats and a B-tree/LSM.
• Implement transactions and recovery: MVCC, WAL, checkpoints, crash recovery.
• Add parallelism and distribution without conflating the two; write specs and tests first.
