Job summary

Ecolab is offering an 11-week paid intern position in Paper & Pulp Engineering Technical Sales to partner with experienced field sales representatives. You will learn account management, customer service, and how engineering approaches solve customer problems within the Paper & Pulp industry.

Participants will blend engineering rigor with a consultative sales approach, visit customer sites, and develop long-term relationships with a large customer base while supporting sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergraduate degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, Industrial or related) graduating in December 2027 or Summer 2028.

Responsibilities

• Complete independent project(s) under primary trainer's direction to yield calculated ROI.
• Complete safety training & technical lessons related to water treatment applications.
• Observe and participate in service to customers for accurate chemical application, process optimization and documentation.
• Complete introductory training of the consultative sales approach.
• Visit multiple customer sites across the region (40-60% of training time in field).
• Build key relationships with departments and personnel critical to field success.
• Work within regional sales districts to build technical knowledge and gain sales experience while helping customers achieve sustainability goals.
