Job summary

Ecolab is seeking Paper & Pulp Engineering Technical Sales Interns to partner with experienced Field Sales Representatives to learn our approach to account management, customer service, and how technical expertise is used to solve problems for customers and develop business within our Paper & Pulp industry.

You will combine a traditional engineering approach with a consultative sales approach focused on strong account leadership skills and retention of strategic accounts.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergraduate degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, Industrial or related) graduating 2027 or 2028.
• Immigration sponsorship not available for this role.
• 11-week paid internship program starting June 1st.
• Valid US Driver’s License and acceptable MVR with access to a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Complete independent projects yielding ROI under trainer’s direction.
• Observe safety training and learn water treatment applications.
• Assist in service at customer sites to ensure proper chemical application and documentation.
• Learn consultative sales approach and build relationships across regions.
• Visit customer sites 40–60% of training time to learn applications and treatment approaches.
• Provide routine support to Sales Representatives (test as needed for Boilers, Cooling towers, Paper processes).
