Job summary

Ecolab’s internship program offers 11 weeks of paid hands‑on experience, with relocation support and a hybrid work option across the United States. Interns will partner with Field Sales Representatives to learn account leadership, customer service, and how engineering solves customer problems in the Paper & Pulp sector.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergraduate degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, Industrial or related) graduating in December 2027 or Summer 2028.

Responsibilities

• Complete independent project(s) under primary trainer’s direction to yield calculated ROI.
• Complete safety training & technical lessons that serve as an introduction to water treatment applications.
• Observe and participate in service as it is provided to customers to assure accurate chemical application, process optimization and documentation.
• Complete introductory training of the consultative sales approach.
• Visit multiple customer sites across the region (40-60% of training time spent in field).
• Build key relationships with departments and personnel critical to field success.
• Work within regional sales districts to gain technical knowledge and sales experience while supporting customers’ sustainability goals.
• Provide routine service support to Sales Representatives; may be tested on boilers, cooling towers, and paper process streams.
