Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Toledo is seeking an Assistant Asset Manager to join our team in Toledo, OR, supporting the Paper department. The role provides strategic and tactical leadership to meet safety, environmental, reliability, production, quality, and cost objectives while improving productivity and reducing costs through process and equipment optimization.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment.
• One or more years of experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and/or reliability strategies.
• Experience using Microsoft Office tools: Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety and environmental excellence through hazard identification, risk reduction, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with operators, shift leaders and asset managers to meet department objectives and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead safety, quality and cost-reduction initiatives that add value to the operation.
• Outage planning and execution of routine and annual machine outages.
• Drive process and equipment modifications to improve product quality and reduce variation.
• Assist in development and implementation of capital projects to document and optimize efforts.
