Job summary

Eaton Corporation is seeking a Panelboard Wiring Associate for the B-Shift (Mon-Thu, 3pm-1am) in Sumter, SC. The role wires switchboards/panelboards and collaborates with the team to hit safety, quality, and production goals.

Eligible for a variable incentive program and $20/hour base pay. Candidates should have at least 1 year of wiring experience, a high school diploma or GED, and be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 1 year wiring experience.
• 1 year experience in manufacturing or operations in an industrial setting.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit is being offered; candidates within 50-mile radius of Sumter, SC will be considered.
• Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Responsibilities

• Wire switchboard or panelboard products and provide wiring expertise.
• Communicate and work with team to meet safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity goals.
• Perform 5S duties and use PPE as required.
• Use wire strippers and pliers to perform electrical wiring assembly.
• Read front views, BOMs, wiring diagrams, and drawings to accurately install wires.
• Understand power flow and comply with regulations when wiring switchboards or panelboards.
• Maintain progress and communicate shortages or issues.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and perform root cause analysis.
• Ensure quality through visual inspections and troubleshooting of nonconforming parts.
• Cross-train and stand in for other duties when needed.
