Job summary

Eaton is hiring a Panelboard Assembler (Breaker Build) in Sumter, SC. 1st shift 5am-1:30pm or 3rd shift 3pm-1am; starting pay $17.16/hr with potential incentive. Position based at Sumter facility; requires reading diagrams/blueprints and assembling panelboard components with attention to quality and safety.

You will work with team members to complete assignments, maintain schedules, and uphold productivity goals while following lean practices and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit; within 50-mile radius of Sumter facility.
• Experience in complex assembly operations or assembly requiring drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install breakers and internal components of a panelboard from diagrams and blueprints.
• Use hand tools and tape measure to accurately measure and install material per procedures.
• Maintain progress and communicate shortages or issues.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and perform root cause analysis.
• Perform quality inspections and troubleshoot errors.
• Support a safe, inclusive work culture and 5S practices.
• Cross train and stand in for other employees as needed.
