Job summary

Eaton Group in Sumter, SC is seeking a Panelboard Breaker Builder for either 1st shift (Mon-Fri 5:00am–1:30pm) or B shift (Mon–Thu 3:00pm–1:00am). The role starts at $17.16 per hour and includes eligibility for a variable incentive program.

This position is based in our Sumter facility and supports panelboard assembly operations. Responsibilities include assembling panelboards per drawings and BOMs, using hand tools and tape measures, inspecting quality, and adhering to Lean practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit; candidates must reside within 50 miles of Sumter facility.

Responsibilities

• Assemble metal bus bars and components for switchboards/panelboards using blueprints, BOMs, and instructions.
• Measure and install materials with hand tools and tape measure following procedures.
• Maintain production progress and communicate shortages or issues.
• Identify process improvements and perform root cause analysis for quality or production issues.
• Ensure quality through inspections and detect nonconforming parts.
• Support a safe, inclusive workplace and perform 5S duties.
• Cross-train and cover for other roles as needed.
