Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Manager-Palliative Care for the Night shift. This role leads the inpatient Palliative Care Program, coordinating a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and adherence to Mercy Care Model practices.

The position requires RN licensure, 3 years in Palliative Care, and 2 years in leadership, with CHPN or a plan to obtain it within 1 year. Mercy offers robust benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3 years of Palliative Care experience.
• 2 years of leadership experience.
• RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) or obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Basic Life Support certification or course completion within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direction, leadership and oversight management for the Palliative Care Department to support quality patient care and safety.
• Manage, monitor and coordinate the inpatient Palliative Care Program with the Medical Director.
• Achieve quality patient-focused care by establishing program goals and outcome metrics.
• Oversee the Palliative Care Coordinator team.
