Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road is seeking a Spring Heavy Civil Engineering Intern for Sugar Land, Texas. You will gain hands-on field experience on multi-million-dollar projects, supporting project engineers, superintendents, and teams in a structured internship program.

The program is paid and runs January 4, 2027 to May 14, 2027. Interns will report to their assigned project in Sugar Land and explore career paths in project engineering and construction management.

Qualifications

• Must be an active junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or similar).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with submittals, revisions, and documentation on construction drawings and specifications.
• Support project engineers, superintendents, and field teams through coordination and scheduling tasks.
• Participate in safety meetings and help maintain logs and project look-ahead schedules.
• Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and coordination with subcontractors and client interactions.
