Job summary

Target stores operate with a Stores Executive Intern program that is a paid, 40 hr/week hands-on training designed to develop and prepare you for store leadership. You will work closely with managers and teammates to learn how Target’s retail business operates and what it takes to excel in a management role.

The internship emphasizes guest service, leadership development, and day-to-day execution with a mentor, opportunities to lead departments, and ongoing development conversations to grow

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong interest in working in retail management.
• Leadership skills and team-oriented thinking.

Responsibilities

• Spending time on the store sales floor and backroom leading team members and aligning the team on daily business priorities.
• Working alongside your Executive Team Lead (ETL) mentor and other leaders in the building.
• Leading through daily priorities (stocking shelves, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment).
• Partnering with leaders regarding team member performance and delivering timely feedback.
• Addressing team member concerns and removing hurdles to ensure smooth operations and goal attainment.
