Tryon Medical Partners in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Medical Assistant Intern to support the Primary Care team. The role offers hands-on experience in a medical setting, including registration, labs, and care coordination. Training will include vaccination administration and EHR documentation.

The internship is full-time and paid, with typical hours Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Ideal candidates are enrolled in or have medical education, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Formación

• Enrolled in or has degree in medicine or related field; on track to return to medical school or PA program.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Will complete online and in-person vaccination administration training.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication; detail-oriented and self-directed.

Responsabilidades

• Escort patients to exam/procedure rooms and collect vital signs and history; document in chart.
• Assist with walking transfers, dressing, and specimen collection.
• Compile health information including symptoms, history, X-ray reports, labs, diagnoses and plans.
• Ensure relevant reports and labs are available in the EHR before appointments.
• Confirm forms are complete, identified, signed, and information is accurate in the EHR.
• Communicate with physicians to clarify diagnoses or obtain information.
• Obtain and forward patient medical records to support care delivery.
• Provide exposure to labs, primary care, registration, document management and care coordination.
• Administer injections after completing Tryon training certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
