Job summary

Wedgwood is seeking an IT Intern in Grand Rapids, MI to gain hands-on experience alongside our Helpdesk Technician and IS Systems Specialist. The role focuses on user behavior, basic triage, troubleshooting, and learning configurations and cybersecurity practices.

Compensation is $15 per hour for Bachelor’s level interns. You will work closely with IT leadership, attend regular check-ins, and contribute to training materials and endpoint provisioning and decommissioning.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Information Technology or Computer Science program.
• Good organization and communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow professionally.
• Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services and agreement with the goal, purpose and objectives of the agency.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming Helpdesk Tickets
• Create Training Materials to Educate End Users on Technical Tasks
• Provision, Deploy, and Decommission Endpoints and Track Asset Management
• Meet regularly with IT Director concerning tasks performed, jobs to be completed, and to discuss items of need or concern.
• Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position. The employee must maintain a consistent work schedule and be available during the assigned hours to perform the duties of this role.
• Complete other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
