Fishbeck, a 100% employee-owned firm with 70+ years of building, invites applicants for a Help Desk Intern role in Grand Rapids. You will work with our IT team providing first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues across departments.

You’ll gain hands-on experience configuring devices, assisting with password resets, troubleshooting, and helping with onboarding/offboarding. Strong communication and willingness to learn are essential, as is pursuing an IT degree.

Qualifications

• Pursuing associate or bachelor's in IT or related field.
• Basic knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft 365.
• Understanding of computer hardware, software install/troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with password resets, access, and IT service requests.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Configure and deploy computer hardware and software.
• Assist with inventory management, asset tracking, and setup.
• Document tickets and resolutions in the help desk system.
• Support onboarding and offboarding for employees.
• Collaborate with IT on projects and system upgrades.
• Maintain excellent customer service and end-user communication.
