Job summary

UW Credit Union is seeking a Human Resources Intern to provide administrative, operational, and project support across multiple HR teams. The role is designed for a student pursuing HR or related fields and offers hands-on experience within a fast-paced environment.

The intern will gain exposure to Talent Acquisition, DEIB, Total Rewards, Wellness, and People Operations, helping with onboarding, events, documentation, and employee communications.

Qualifications

• Pursuing associate or bachelor’s degree in HR, business, psychology, communications or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and coordination support across Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and other Talent functions.
• Assist with scheduling, communications, documentation, and workflow coordination for talent-related activities and programs.
• Support onboarding, training coordination, employee experience initiatives, and department operations.
• Help maintain records, internal resources, and process documentation.
• Assist with meeting logistics, event coordination, and team communications.
• Support day-to-day operational needs to help ensure efficient team processes and a positive employee experience.
• Provide administrative support for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging initiatives and programs.
• Assist with coordination of meetings, events, communications, and department materials.
• Support organization and preparation of resources related to DEIB efforts.
• Help support initiatives that contribute to an inclusive and welcoming workplace culture.
• Provide administrative and operational support to Total Rewards, Wellness, and People Operations teams.
• Assist with reporting, workflow coordination, documentation, and employee program support.
• Support wellness initiatives, communications, events, and employee engagement activities that promote employee well-being.
• Help maintain employee records, resources, and internal information.
• Support compliance-related activities and department operational processes.
• Participate in departmental and cross-functional projects and initiatives.
• Assist with process improvement efforts, research, and administrative coordination.
• Support department events, communications, and operational initiatives as needed.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support evolving business and team needs.
