Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps Member is an entry-level, full-time paid role focused on coaching and mentoring students across elementary to high school levels. You will support academic success, improve attendance, and foster positive behaviors with teachers on in-class instruction and small group activities.

AmeriCorps members receive structured training, a bi-weekly living stipend, and access to benefits and federal education awards.

Qualifications

• Fosters student academic success and attendance.
• Plans and monitors individual student progress.
• Works with teachers on in-class support and small groups.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 or in small groups.
• Develop literacy and math activities by student level.
• Create and implement behavior management for students.
• Collaborate with teachers to track progress in City Year’s data system.
• Support school-wide engagement activities for students and families.
