Job summary

Flik Independent School Dining offers a paid Culinary Internship program in Charlotte, NC. Interns rotate through FOH and BOH stations, engage with guests, and learn wellness and sustainability initiatives under culinary mentors.

Interns must be enrolled in a college program in Hospitality Management and/or Culinary Arts and be available 20–40 hours per week; transportation and housing support may vary by location.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a college/university pursuing Hospitality Management and/or Culinary Arts degree.
• Must be available to work 20 - 40 hours a week based on business needs & internship requirements.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through FOH and BOH stations depending on location or operational needs; duties may include working stations such as Pizza, deli, salad bar or grill and could include working in any BOH prep area.
• Engage with guests and tailor plates to their dietary needs.
• Review culinary and front-of-house standards.
• Learn about wellness and sustainability initiatives.
• Adhere to “platinum service” customer service standards.
• Consistently practice safety and sanitation protocols.
• Assist with catering events, including setup and execution.
• Develop professional relationships and enhance interpersonal skills.

Education

Hospitality Management and/or Culinary Arts degree
