Job summary

Bon Appétit Culinary Internship Program in the New York area offers paid, hands-on kitchen experience under culinary mentors. Interns rotate through stations, prep foods, and engage with guests while learning wellness and sustainability practices.

The program runs May–August 2027 in the Greater New York region. Applicants must be enrolled in a college culinary or hospitality program, with sanitation and knife-skill coursework, and will be paid $20 per hour for 20–40 hours per week as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college culinary program.
• GPA requirement per university's internship program.
• Sanitation standards training completed.
• Knife skills or Intro to Culinary coursework completed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items across all kitchen stations.
• Rotate through pizza/pasta, deli, salad bar, grill, and international cuisine.
• Engage with guests and tailor plates to dietary needs.
• Review culinary and front-of-house standards.
• Learn about wellness and sustainability initiatives.
• Adhere to customer service standards.
• Practice safety and sanitation protocols.
• Assist with catering events, including set-up and execution.
• Develop professional relationships and enhance interpersonal skills.
