Job summary

The Flik Culinary Internship Program at the New Orleans Pelicans Training Facility in Metairie, LA offers a paid opportunity for culinary students during Spring 2027 and Fall 2027. The role is full-time with hours to be discussed at interview; pay is $18.00 per hour, with free meals and laundering service available at select locations.

Interns rotate through FOH/BOH stations, engage with guests, meet the team dietitian, and learn wellness and safety standards while developing professional

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a college/university pursuing Hospitality Management and/or Culinary Arts.
• GPA requirement for Internship.
• Sanitation standards training completed.
• Relevant knife skills and/or Intro to Culinary coursework completed.
• Availability to work 20–40 hours per week based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through FOH and BOH stations (Pizza, deli, salad bar, grill, etc.).
• Engage with guests and tailor plates to dietary needs.
• Meet with the team dietitian.
• Review culinary and front-of-house standards.
• Learn about wellness and sustainability initiatives.
• Adhere to platinum service standards and safety protocols.
• Assist with catering events, including setup and execution.
• Develop professional relationships and interpersonal skills.

Education

College/university enrollment in Hospitality Management or Culinary Arts

GPA requirement for Internship

Sanitation standards training completed

Knife skills / Intro to Culinary coursework completed
