Job summary

Client Growth Resources, Inc. is seeking a Hospital PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, on-site role in Great Falls, Montana. You will join a clinical team in a hospital-based perioperative setting, focusing on patient safety, efficient recovery, and collaborative care.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred) and Montana RN licensure, with 2–4 years in acute care. Expect varied shifts, active call rotation, and strong teamwork in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; RN licensure required in Montana or compact/endorsement eligibility.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required upon hire.
• Minimum of 2–4 years recent professional hospital experience in acute Medical/Surgical or Critical Care nursing.
• Preferred experience with Critical Care (ICU) workflows).

Responsibilities

• Pre-Operative Preparation: assess, admit, and optimize patients for elective or outpatient procedures, ensure pre-op checklists.
• Phase I Recovery: monitor and stabilize patients waking from anesthesia; manage airway and ventilation; monitor hemodynamics; conduct neuro checks.
• Advanced Visual & Device Care: care for high-acuity post-op patients with chest tubes, lines, IVs; training provided if needed.
• Wound & Line Management: monitor wounds, drains, dressings, incisions; prevent post-op complications.
• Symptom & Pain Control: titrate IV medications for pain; manage PANV; use warming devices for normothermia.
• Observation Unit Care: care for observation patients from ED to post-surgical status.
• Collaborative Leadership: coordinate with Providers, Anesthesia, Nurse Managers; guide LPNs and CNAs.
• Discharge & Transfer Planning: use Aldrete score for home discharge or hand-offs to inpatient units.
