KingRecruitingServices is actively seeking a Hospital PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a regional healthcare system in Great Falls, Montana. This full-time, on-site role focuses on perioperative recovery and post-anesthesia care for elective and outpatient surgeries.

Ideal candidates hold an ADN with MT RN licensure (or compact endorsement) and 2–4 years of hospital experience in acute care or critical care settings. BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications are required on hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Montana or compact endorsement.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required on hire.
• 2–4 years hospital experience in acute Medical/Surgical or Critical Care.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Operative Preparation: assess, admit, and optimize patients for elective/outpatient procedures.
• Phase I Recovery: monitor and stabilize patients waking from anesthesia; manage airway and hemodynamics.
• Advanced Visual & Device Care: monitor patients with chest tubes, central lines, arterial lines, and short-term ventilator support.
• Wound & Line Management: monitor wounds, drains, dressings, and incisions.
• Symptom & Pain Control: titrate IV meds, PANV, and manage hypothermia.
• Observation Unit Care: care for observation patients from ED to observation beds.
• Collaborative Leadership: coordinate care with providers, anesthesia, and nursing leadership.
• Discharge & Transfer Planning: use Aldrete score to discharge or hand-off to inpatient units.
