Job summary

SourcePro Search, LLC is partnering with a regional healthcare system to recruit a Hospital PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, on-site role in Great Falls, Montana. The position offers strong nurse-to-patient ratios, supportive administration, and a culture of teamwork and compassion in the perioperative setting.

You will work in the PACU, assisting with pre-op prep, post-anesthesia care, wound and line management, pain control, and discharge planning, with rotating shifts 6:00 AM–7:30

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred).
• Montana RN license (or compact/endorsement eligibility).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required upon hire.
• 2–4 years of recent hospital experience in acute Medical/Surgical or Critical Care.
• CCU/ICU experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Operative assessment and optimization of elective/outpatient surgery patients.
• Monitor and stabilize patients waking from anesthesia; manage airway and ventilation.
• Care for post-op patients with chest tubes, lines, and short-term ventilator support.
• Wound, drain, and line management with aseptic technique.
• Titrate IV meds for post-op pain and PANV; manage hypothermia/shivering.
• Observe medical and surgical patients admitted from ED or post-surgery.
• Coordinate care plans with providers, anesthesia, nurse managers, and staff.
• Discharge planning and hand-offs to inpatient units.
