Job summary

MelroseWakefield Hospital is seeking an RN in Complex Care to provide direct nursing care to patients and families in accordance with established policies and procedures. The role emphasizes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient’s plan of care.

Minimum qualifications include Massachusetts RN licensure, current BLS and ACLS certifications, and at least 1 year of RN experience with a strong critical care background.

Responsibilities

• Participates in performance improvement initiatives.
• Conscientiously evaluates and integrates evidence-based practice into clinical care.
• Conducts and documents accurate clinical assessments.
• Develops, implements and evaluates the patient’s individualized plan of care.
• Uses nursing judgment to tailor the plan of care to patient needs.
• Manages patient assignment and delegates appropriately to team members.
• Develops a comprehensive discharge plan utilizing resources and referrals.
• Precepts and supports the professional growth of staff.
