Job summary

Incredible Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a PACU RN to provide immediate post-operative care across various surgical cases. You will monitor vitals, manage anesthesia-related symptoms, and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure safe patient flow from OR to PACU to discharge.

The role requires an RN license and BLS/ACLS, with 1 year PACU/ICU experience preferred. Excellent communication and EMR proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• 1 year experience in PACU/ICU or similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitor vital signs and manage anesthesia-related symptoms
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans per medical staff directions
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams for smooth patient transition from OR to PACU and discharge
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, including pain management and wound care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in line with hospital policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
