Job summary

Incredible Health in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a qualified PACU RN to deliver post-operative care for a diverse surgical patient population. You will monitor vitals, manage anesthesia-related symptoms, and coordinate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure smooth transitions from operating room to PACU and discharge home.

Required ADN or higher in nursing, active RN license, 1 year PACU/ICU experience, BLS/ACLS, and EMR proficiency.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher nursing degree required.
• Active RN license without encumbrances.
• 1 year PACU/ICU high-acuity experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Strong teamwork and communication.
• Proficient with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs and managing anesthesia-related symptoms.
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams for safe patient transitions from OR to PACU to discharge home.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, including pain management and wound care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems
