Job summary

Incredible Health is hiring a PACU Registered Nurse in Chapel Hill, NC to provide post-operative care across diverse surgical patients. You will monitor vitals, administer medicines, and work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and PACU teams to ensure safe transfers from the operating room to discharge.

The ideal candidate holds an active NC RN license, ADN or higher, and BLS/ACLS certifications, with strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license (unencumbered).
• 1 year PACU/ICU or equivalent high-acuity experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care and monitor vitals.
• Administer prescribed medications and follow treatment plans.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and PACU staff for smooth patient transitions to discharge.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and pain management.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with hospital policies.

Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Cardiac Monitoring, Circulate, Pediatric, Presurgical assessment, Robotic surgery, Transplant, or Wound & drain care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Salary: $60,820 to $98,680 /year
