Job summary

Incredible Health is hiring a PACU RN in Shenandoah, TX to deliver immediate post-operative care and monitor patients recovering from anesthesia. You will work closely with surgeons and anesthesia teams to ensure smooth transfers from operating room to discharge home.

Requirements include an ADN or higher, active RN license, BLS/ACLS and strong teamwork. PACU/ICU experience is preferred, with opportunities for cross-training and supportive benefits.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher in nursing.
• Active, unencumbered RN license.
• 1 year PACU/ICU or similar high-acuity experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care and monitor vital signs.
• Administer prescribed medications and follow treatment plans.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and teams for patient transitions.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and possible complications.
• Maintain accurate documentation per hospital policies.

Hospitals on Incredible Health are actively hiring and accepting applications in the Shenandoah, TX area for the following position: PACU RN. Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Cardiac Monitoring, Circulate, Pediatric, Presurgical assessment, Robotic surgery, Transplant, or Wound & drain care.

• Shift(s) available: day shift and night shift
• Job types available: full time, part time, and per diem

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures
