Job summary

Incredible Health is hiring a PACU RN in Pasadena, CA. Multiple shifts available and opportunities across full-time, part-time, and per diem roles within a Magnet-recognized teaching hospital environment.

Responsibilities include post-operative care, medication administration, and close collaboration with surgical teams to ensure smooth patient transitions and education for families.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher nursing degree.
• Active RN license in California.
• 1 year PACU/ICU or similar high-acuity experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certs.
• Strong interpersonal and team skills.
• Proficient with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-operative care, monitor vitals, manage anesthesia symptoms.
• Administer medications and implement treatment plans.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and teams for patient transfers to PACU and discharge.
• Educate patients and families on post-op care and pain management.
• Maintain accurate documentation per hospital policies.

Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Cardiac Monitoring, Circulate, Pediatric, Presurgical assessment, Robotic surgery, Transplant, or Wound & drain care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures
