Job summary

Incredible Health is hiring a PACU RN in Palmdale, CA to provide immediate post-operative care for diverse surgical cases. You will monitor vitals, administer medications, and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to transition patients from the operating room to PACU and home.

Strong EMR skills and communication are required. We prefer a ADN or higher in nursing with an active RN license and BLS/ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher in nursing is required.
• Active RN license must be current and unrestricted.
• 1 year PACU/ICU experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitor vitals and manage anesthesia-related symptoms.
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure smooth transition from OR to PACU to discharge.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, including pain management and wound care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems
