Job summary

Incredible Health is hiring a PACU Registered Nurse in Bakersfield, CA. Day, night, and mid shifts are available, with full-time or part-time roles. The successful candidate will have ADN or higher, active RN licensure, and PACU/ICU experience.

BLS and ACLS are required, plus strong teamwork and EMR proficiency. Responsibilities include immediate post-operative care, medication administration, and close collaboration with surgeons and anesthesiologists.

Qualifications

• Associates or higher nursing degree required.
• Active and unencumbered RN license.
• 1 year experience in PACU/ICU or similar high-acuity setting preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vitals and anesthesia-related symptoms.
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure smooth patient transitions from operating room to PACU to discharge.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, including pain management and wound care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with hospital policies.
