Job summary

Incredible Health in Henderson, NV is hiring a PACU RN to provide post-operative care for a range of surgical patients. You will monitor vitals, manage anesthesia-related symptoms, and ensure safe transitions from OR to PACU and discharge home.

The role requires an ADN or higher in nursing, an active RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications, with 1 year in PACU/ICU preferred. Strong EMR skills and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must have ADN or higher in nursing.
• Active and unencumbered RN license required.
• 1 year of PACU/ICU or high-acuity experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of teamwork.
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients and monitor vital signs.
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams for seamless patient transitions to PACU and discharge.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, pain management, wound healing and potential complications.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems
