Job summary

Incredible Health in Worcester, MA is hiring a PACU RN to provide immediate postoperative care for diverse surgical patients. Shifts include day, night, and mid shifts with full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities.

Ideal candidates hold an ADN or higher, an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, and 1 year PACU/ICU experience. Strong teamwork and EMR proficiency are essential for seamless patient transitions from OR to discharge.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher in nursing is required.
• Active, unencumbered RN license is required.
• 1 year PACU/ICU or similar high-acuity experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate postoperative care and monitor vital signs.
• Administer prescribed meds and follow treatment plans.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists for patient transitions to PACU and discharge.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and potential complications.
• Maintain accurate documentation per hospital policy.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Salary: $60,000 to $161,290 /year
