Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to lead immediate post-operative care and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia teams in North Austin. You will manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and respond to complications while providing wound care and ensuring patient stability during recovery.

You will participate in on-call rotations and support a culture of patient-centered care, safety, and continuous improvement across the unit.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required within 30 days of start date.
• RN licensure and active practice as a registered nurse.
• RN diploma or equivalent nursing credential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while applying evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including providers and therapists.
• Consistently apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to ensure safe care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor continuously, and document changes thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
