Job summary

StoneSprings Hospital Center in Virginia is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, post-operative care, manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and provide initial wound care while collaborating with the surgical and anesthesia teams.

The role is full-time, four shifts per week with on-call requirements, self/scheduling four weeks in advance, supportive leadership, and access to staffing resources to maintain patient care continuity.

Qualifications

• RN with diploma and license required.
• ACLS, BLS and PALS must be obtained within defined timelines.
• Full-time PACU position with four shifts per week and on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while applying evidence-based practices and continuous improvement.
• Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team – consisting of the provider(s), therapy, and more.
• Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking, scientific judgment and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor during shift, and document changes and care provided.
• Educate patients and families about the medical condition, treatment and follow-up.
