Job summary

Premier hospital organization in Great Falls, Montana seeks a full-time Charge Nurse for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The role leads daily operations, ensures safe, efficient patient care, and collaborates with surgeons and anesthesia teams.

Requires RN licensure in Montana, 2+ years in PACU, and leadership experience; BSN preferred. Competitive benefits, on-site shifts 6:00 AM–7:30 PM, with strong team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure in Montana (or compacts/endorsement eligibility).
• 2+ years of PACU nursing experience; leadership or charge nurse experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize daily patient flow across Pre-Operative and PACU units.
• Plan, implement and evaluate clinical care from admission through phase II recovery.
• Act as primary shift leader, managing staffing, schedules, and operational issues.
• Ensure adherence to patient safety standards and CPAN/ASPAN documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with PACU Supervisor, surgeons, anesthesia providers, and allied staff; mentor the Pre-Op/PACU team.

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
