Job summary

Iredell Health System is seeking a dedicated PACS Administrator to oversee the PACS system across the hospital. You will coordinate initial and ongoing training, manage user accounts and privileges, and ensure smooth operation of imaging workflows.

The role involves monitoring system performance, basic troubleshooting for day-to-day users, and collaboration with radiology and IT teams to maintain data integrity and compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in information systems technologies or Radiologic Sciences.
• Three years experience in radiology or information systems.
• Documented skills in system network technologies.
• Understanding of Radiology workflow patterns.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of staff including physicians.
• Physical ability to walk, sit/stand, and lift computer equipment.

Description

Responsible for the overall management of the PACS system, including initial and on-going training, managing accounts and system privileges of various levels of users, management of patient records, monitoring of system performance and basic troubleshooting for day to day users.

Shift: 1 day per week, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, call every other week

Requirements

• Associate Degree in information systems technologies or Radiologic Sciences.
• Three years experience in the radiology field or information systems.
• Documented skills in system network technologies.
• Demonstrated understanding of Radiology work flow patterns.
• Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of staff including physicians.
• Must be of reasonable physical ability as the position will require walking throughout the hospital, sitting or standing for periods of time and moving and lifting computer equipment and monitors on occasion.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
