Job summary

Iredell Health System is seeking a PACS Administrator responsible for the overall management of the PACS system, including training, user account and privilege management, and patient record handling.

You will monitor performance, perform basic troubleshooting, and collaborate with clinical staff to support radiology workflows. Shift: 1 day per week, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, call every other week.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in information systems technologies or Radiologic Sciences.
• Three years experience in the radiology field or information systems.
• Documented skills in system network technologies.
• Demonstrated understanding of Radiology work flow patterns.
• Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of staff including physicians.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and pass basic FIT test.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall PACS system.
• Provide initial and ongoing training on PACS usage.
• Manage user accounts and system privileges for multiple levels of users.
• Maintain patient records within the PACS environment.

Job description

Responsible for the overall management of the PACS system, including initial and on-going training, managing accounts and system privileges of various levels of users, management of patient records, monitoring of system performance and basic troubleshooting for day to day users.

Shift: 1 day per week, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, call every other week

Requirements

• Associate Degree in information systems technologies or Radiologic Sciences.
• Three years experience in the radiology field or information systems.

• Demonstrated understanding of Radiology work flow patterns.
• Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of staff including physicians.
• Must be of reasonable physical ability as the position will require walking throughout the hospital, sitting or standing for periods of time and moving and lifting computer equipment and monitors on occasion.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
