Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is hiring at its Dayton, OH location for a full-time position. The role offers a starting wage of $18.00 per hour with a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM shift in a climate-controlled facility.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials and stand for long periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Use hand tools for extended periods.
• HS diploma or GED, or 2 years related manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows all safety and operational policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Prepares, cuts, secures and assembles crates to prevent product damage.
• Safely transport materials throughout the facility using manual and Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV), including pallet jack, forklift.
• Attention to detail with emphasis on reading diagrams, solid math skills, measuring devices and following step-by-step instructions.
• Uses basic computer programs, Warehouse Management System (WMS) functions, and handheld scanners to complete daily tasks.
• Identifies quality issues and escalates accordingly.
• Able to achieve safety, quality and productivity standards.
• Ability to physically complete tasks including lifting, moving, and carrying up to 35 lbs. consistently throughout shift.
• Maintains clean, organized work areas in accordance with 5S standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications:

• High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
