Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas in Dayton, Ohio is hiring for an entry-level manufacturing role on 1st shift. Starting wage is $18.00 per hour with overtime available in a climate-controlled facility.

You will read work orders, move materials, load and unload, operate pallet jack and forklift, and ensure accurate packing for shipping. Benefits include PTO, health insurance, 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of related manufacturing/production experience.
• Ability to read and communicate in English and follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Reads work orders or tickets to determine materials to pick or move.
• Loads/unloads materials onto pallets and shelves using manual and powered equipment.
• Secures materials for transport with banding and wrapping.
• Packs cartons and prepares shipments ensuring accuracy.
• Operates pallet jack and forklift on a regular basis.
• Counts and records material moves on production sheets.
• Labels materials and ensures proper tagging.
• Adheres to safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Maintains organization and cleanliness in a climate-controlled facility.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Responsibilities:

• Reads work order or pick ticketsor follows oral instructions toascertainmaterials or containers to be picked, moved, or processed
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand, forklift, pallet jack, conveyor, or other material handling equipment
• Loads materials into vehicles and installs banding and stretch wrapping to prevent shifting or damage in transit
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites todesignatedarea
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet
• Attachesidentifyingtags or labels to materials or marks information or cases or containers
• Packs and prepares cartons for shipping to customers
• Ensures accuracy or order and security of packaging to avoid damage in shipment
• Operate a pallet jack and forklift on a regular basis
• Able to meet quality and productivity deliverables
• Adheres to all safety policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications

• The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE.
• The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time.
• The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
