Job summary

Daikin Applied in Dayton, Ohio is hiring for a warehouse associate. Starting wage is $18.00 per hour with a $1.00 shift differential for the 2nd shift, and two shifts run Monday–Friday with some overtime.

Location is a climate controlled facility with benefits and growth opportunities. Typical duties include reading work orders, loading/unloading with pallet jacks and forklifts, packing for shipping, labeling, and ensuring order accuracy.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of related warehouse or distribution experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Ability to learn how to operate power equipment.
• Ability to read and understand written English.

Responsibilities

• Reads work orders or tickets to ascertain materials to pick, move, or process.
• Loads/unloads materials using pallet jack, forklift, or manual handling.
• Loads materials into vehicles and secures with banding or wrapping.
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
• Counts, weighs, and records units moved on the production sheet.
• Attaches labels/tags to materials and marks containers.
• Packs and prepares cartons for shipping to customers.
• Ensures order accuracy and secure packaging to avoid damage.
• Operates pallet jack and forklift on a regular basis.
• Meets quality and productivity deliverables and follows safety policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you will do:

• Reads work order or pick tickets or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be picked, moved, orprocessed
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand, forklift, pallet jack, conveyor, or other material handlingequipment
• Loads materials into vehicles and installs banding and stretch wrapping to prevent shifting or damage intransit
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designatedarea
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily productionsheet
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information or cases orcontainers
• Packs and prepares cartons for shipping tocustomers
• Ensures accuracy or order and security of packaging to avoid damage inshipment
• Operate a pallet jack and forklift on a regular basis
• Able to meet quality and productivitydeliverables
• Adheres to all safety policies andprocedures
• Other duties asassigned

MinimumQualifications:

• Experience operating pallet jack, order picker, counterbalance, reach and turbine trucks
