Job summary

Daikin Applied, the world's largest HVAC company, is hiring for a production support/warehouse role in Dayton, Ohio. Starting wage is $19.00 per hour with a regular shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, in a climate-controlled facility.

Responsibilities include following safety policies, operating basic warehouse equipment, and using WMS and handheld scanners. Qualifications require a high school diploma or 2+ years related experience, with ability to read, write, and communicate

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or 2+ years related experience.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull materials and stand for most of the shift.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Operate basic warehouse equipment per SOPs.
• Safely transport materials using Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) including unloading, loading, put away, runner, and picking tasks.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections.
• Use WMS functions and handheld scanners to complete daily tasks.
• Identify quality issues and escalate accordingly.
• Demonstrate increasing responsibility for equipment operation.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas per 5S standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Responsibilities:

• Follows all safety and operational policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Operate basic warehouse equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Safely transport materials throughout the facility using Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV), including unloading, loading, put away, runner, and picking tasks.
• Conducts pre-operation inspections.
• Uses basic computer programs, Warehouse Management System (WMS) functions, and handheld scanners to complete daily tasks.
• Identifies quality issues and escalates accordingly.
• Demonstrates increasing responsibility for equipment operation and types of equipment used.
• Maintains clean, organized work areas in accordance with 5S standards.
• Other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications:

• The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE.
• The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time.
• The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
