Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking an experienced field sales professional to drive revenue in the New York sales territory. You will secure and expand distributions, negotiate terms, and build lasting relationships with customers across various segments.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years outside sales experience, a valid driver's license, and proven ability to manage a complex pipeline while delivering on targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and/or 3–5 years of outside sales success.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, be self-motivated, manage time and meet goals.
• Ability to negotiate and handle challenging accounts.

Responsibilities

• Achieves sales goals and executes plans within assigned territory and/or account.
• Secures and maintains distribution, provides pricing, negotiates, and maintains contracts.
• Creates, monitors, and revises lead generation plans to build a strong pipeline.
• Satisfies customer needs and expands business by fostering relationships.
• Coordinates with design department to improve designs and develop new ones.
• Reviews opportunities and process efficiency with sales manager and suggests improvements.
• Responsible for overall account management, including recordkeeping, forecasts, budgets, and collections.
