CareerNerds, LLC in Kingsport, TN is seeking a driven Sales Manager to grow our flexible packaging business in the northeast Tennessee area. You’ll blend consultative selling with technical learning, guiding clients to smarter packaging solutions while building long-term relationships.

In this role you’ll own the customer experience from first contact to final delivery, manage quotes and RFP responses, forecast sales, and collaborate with R&D and production to execute projects.

Qualifications

8+ years of B2B sales or technical services experience.
Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills.
Experience in packaging, printing, or related industries is a plus.
Willingness to travel up to 50% (including international travel).

Responsibilities

Identify and win new enterprise clients across food, beverage, confectionery, pet food, and consumer goods.
Open doors, build trust, and turn opportunities into long-term partnerships.
Provide consultative guidance on packaging solutions and materials.
Collaborate with R&D, prepress, and production to execute projects flawlessly.
Forecast sales, prepare quotes, and respond to RFPs.
Deliver a high-touch, exceptional customer experience.
