Job summary

NOW Foods is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic I to maintain and repair packaging and processing equipment on a weekend schedule (Fri–Sun, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM). The role includes mentoring lesser skilled mechanics and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities cover troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, electrical work, fabrication, and collaboration with engineering. A.A./equivalent or 2+ years plus experience is required, with food/pharma industry preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school plus at least two years of related experience, or five years related experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of machine troubleshooting, electrical, mechanical, fabrication, pneumatics, hydraulics, OSHA standards, cGMP's, lock-out/tag-out.
• Food or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs, operates, maintains, repairs, lubricates, and troubleshoots complex processing and high-speed packaging machinery.
• Performs predictive and preventative maintenance activities per CMMS.
• Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots all types of A/C and D/C electrical equipment.
• Fabricates components using shop equipment and welds as needed.
• Assists Engineering in installation of new equipment and works from drawings.
