Job summary

Control Tech in Bloomingdale, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic I for a weekend shift (Fri–Sun, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM) to inspect, repair and maintain high-speed packaging equipment and plant infrastructure. The role includes mentoring lesser skilled maintenance staff.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and fabrication systems; support CMMS-based maintenance; and assist engineering with new installations while following safety and cGMP requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent plus 2+ years related experience OR 5 years related experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, cGMPs, lock-out/tag-out.
• Food or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain complex processing and high-speed packaging machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance per CMMS.
• Assist engineering with installation of new equipment and read drawings.
