Job summary

NOW Foods in Bloomingdale, IL is hiring a Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic I for weekend daytime shifts. You will repair and maintain packaging and processing equipment, mentor others, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualified candidates have an AA/2-year degree or equivalent with 2+ years of related experience or 5 years experience, including knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems and safety standards. Food/pharma experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent plus a minimum of two years related experience or five years related experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of machine troubleshooting, electrical, mechanical, fabrication, pneumatics, hydraulics, OSHA standards, cGMPs, lock-out/tag-out.
• Food or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair complex packaging machinery and equipment in the facility.
• Perform predictive and preventative maintenance per CMMS.
• Assist Engineering in installation of new equipment and work from drawings or instructions.
• Troubleshoot and validate maintenance activities and participate in root-cause analysis.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and keep shop areas clean and orderly.
• Adhere to safety and cGMP requirements and participate in safety initiatives.
